The sorrows of the city are drowned by the shadows of the night.

This beauty only illuminated by these passing lights.

The light that falls upon the sea towards the waters below, 

your gaze falls upon it as its depth says hello. 

And yes you may think that the darkness hides the truth, 

but the light obscures age to define only youth.

These shadows bring to light something else 

your gaze once fallen upon the skies, 

now turn towards the shells.

And yes the dark and light both exist.

But to know yourself, know which one you can't resist.

Well, the city has both darkness and light. 

Its beauty is based upon your line of sight.
